The Criterion Collection Reviews

I’d give it 5 stars. The The Criterion Collection app has been simple and smooth for me so far. Finding movies is easy, and I appreciate that it doesn’t feel crowded or messy like a lot of other streaming apps. To be fair, I’m not using every single feature, but for just browsing and watching, it’s been a really good experience.

I ordered a couple of movies from criterion.com, and the checkout process was simple. No issues there, and getting the order placed was quick enough.

The shipping, though, was kind of underwhelming. It wasn’t horribly slow, but it took about a week to arrive, and the tracking barely updated for a few days, which was a little frustrating. For what I paid, I expected it to move a bit faster or at least have better updates.

Everything did show up in good shape and the packaging was fine, so it wasn’t a total disaster. Still, it would’ve been nice to get some kind of acknowledgment or apology for the slow and unclear shipping experience.

Logging in was fine, but trying to change my account details took way too long. I also got transferred around when I just needed help with a simple setting, which made the whole thing feel more frustrating than it needed to be.

I’m a fan of The Criterion Collection, and I do like a lot of what they put out, but the discounts on their site lately feel underwhelming. Even when there’s a sale, the total climbs fast, and then shipping shows up like, “Don’t forget about me!” At that point, it’s not exactly a steal. I usually just wait and grab what I want somewhere else.

The Criterion Collection Channel has been a really nice surprise for the price. There are tons of classics, old favorites, and random hidden gems I probably wouldn’t have found anywhere else. If you’re the kind of person who likes digging into movies beyond the usual mainstream stuff, I think a lot of other customers would get their money’s worth here too. I’ve actually been using it more than Netflix lately, so yeah, I’d say it’s worth it.

The site was easy to get around, and I found what I was looking for without much effort. It feels like they might have put some thought into keeping the navigation simple, because everything seemed straightforward.

I had a streaming issue on my account and reached out to support. They did get back to me, and the fix worked eventually. So, that part was good. But it took longer than I thought it would, and I had to explain the same problem twice. A little annoying. Not awful, not amazing. Probably fine if you’re not in a rush.

I had a smooth time ordering from The Criterion Collection. The cart and payment steps worked without any issues, though it took me a minute to spot the shipping options. I got my order confirmation right away, so no real complaints 😊

I mainly use The Criterion Collection for older films, it makes me so happy seeing how much there is to choose from. I’ve found movies on there that I’d been trying to watch forever and couldn’t find anywhere else, which felt like such a win. The site itself is easy to use too, so I’m not getting frustrated just trying to find something. That said, I do get a little disappointed when certain titles disappear sooner than I’d like. Still, overall, I’m really glad I signed up and I’ve been enjoying it a lot.

I do like the classic movies on here, but the overall catalog feels kinda smaller than I expected. Some genres don’t have much to choose from, so I don’t end up using it that often

The box showed up a little dented. I could be overthinking it because I’ve been trying to keep things neat lately, but the packaging was just okay overall...

I’ve preordered from criterion.com a handful of times now, it’s been smooth each time. The release dates they list have lined up with what actually happens, at least for me, and I usually get the shipping email right about when I’m expecting it.

The packaging has been fine too. Nothing fancy to report, but also no cracked cases, no beat-up boxes, and no random delays that made me wonder what was going on.
So yeah, not a huge dramatic story here. It just works, which I appreciate. I like being able to place the preorder and not feel like I have to keep checking back to make sure it’s actually going to ship

One of the discs arrived damaged, which was disappointing since I do expect items to show up in good condition. That said, the return process was simple, and they sent out a replacement quickly. It took a few days to get everything sorted, but overall it was handled well and I’m satisfied with how it turned out.

I’ve been trying to watch something other than my usual comfort sitcoms lately, especially after dinner when I’m just sitting around with tea, and I really love the world movie selection here. There’s a nice mix of films from different places, and it makes browsing feel a lot more interesting than just seeing the same stuff everywhere.

The disc arrived looking spotless with no scratches that I could see. Popped it in and it played perfectly on the first try.

As someone who’s always been more into older films, foreign movies, and the kind of stuff that feels a little more curated, Criterion really hits the spot for me. I’ve found so many movies there that I probably never would’ve come across on the bigger streaming services. The only thing is, every now and then I wish they had a few more newer releases or a wider mix in certain genres. Still, the overall quality is really solid, and it definitely feels made for people who genuinely love film

I do like Criterion for the bonus features, and some of the interviews and essays are genuinely really good. But then there are a few discs where the extras feel kind of light, especially considering what you’re paying. It’s not a bad deal overall, just a little annoying when one release feels packed and another feels bare...

I really like a lot of the movies on The Criterion Collection, but actually finding them can be a pain. If I misspell a title a little or only remember an actor’s name, the search doesn’t really help much. Browsing isn’t great either, the categories feel kind of limited and I keep running into the same suggestions instead of discovering new stuff. For a service with so many films, it feels like it should be way easier to explore. I still use it, but yeah, it gets frustating quick...

Maybe I’m just tired of places sneaking in extra fees, but this felt fair to me. The prices made sense for what you get, and I didn’t notice any weird add-ons or surprise charges

The site looks fine at first glance, but I just didn’t feel fully reassured about the brand. I was hoping for clearer info and maybe more confidence that everything is legit. When I reached out to support, the replies didn’t really answer my concerns, so I’m still a bit hesitant to trust them completely.
